JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 4 Behind-The-Scenes Video Shows Insane Escalator Stunt
There’s a behind-the-scenes video going around from John Wick: Chapter 4 that features a pretty insane escalator stunt. It shows a stuntman getting thrown down an escalator and it’s pretty bonkers to see a real person take that kind of fall! That’s a seriously dangerous stunt! I’m not even sure if Tom Cruise would want to do that one!
This is just another example of why there needs to be a Stunt category at the Oscars! During a previous interview with director Chad Stahelski, he talked about the stunt category calling it a no-brainer, and explained:
"There's one for every other department but ours? That's a no-brainer to me. Truly, there are wives' tales and rumors and myths about why there's no category, that the Academy was mad at somebody about something. For all I know, that's all bullsh*t. We want to be recognized because we're one of the 11 main departments. We're in every f**king trailer. Most movies are sold on what we do."
There’s also a petition you can sign to help get a Best Stunt Oscar category into the Academy Awards. I’m sure one day it will happen. In the meantime, we can enjoy all of the awesome action films being made that feature all kinds of wicked cool stunts for our viewing entertainment!
