Scott Foley Returns to the SCREAM Franchise for the Seventh Installment

Scott Foley, who appeared in Scream 3, is returning to the franchise for director Kevin Williamson’s Scream 7. I assume he will reprise his role as Roman Bridger, who was the half-brother of Sidney Prescott and the Ghostface killer.

This is interesting casting, and I’m wondering how the character will be incorporated in the film considering that Roman was killed by Dewey (David Arquette), but maybe he didn’t die? Roman has faked his own death before.

There’s always the possibility that Roman could have a long-lost twin. Look, all I’m saying is that if they can bring Roman back, they can also bring Stu back!

The movie also stars Neve Campbell, who is reprising her role as Sidney in the film and she will be joined by Courteney Cox, Jasmin Savoy Brown and Mason Gooding.

The new cast members of the film include Joel McHale as Sidney’s husband, Isabel May, Mason Gooding, Mckenna Grace, Celeste O’Connor and Asa Germann.

It’s said that the next chapter of Scream will involve a "big time jump" following the events of the last movie. This is so that Sidney's children have grown to an appropriate slasher movie age.

It was also previously reported that Scream 7 "will have two main storylines, one about Sid and her friends from the neighborhood, and the second one about Sid's teen daughter Taylor (could be a codename) and her friends. Each of them will have to deal with Ghostface."

Sid and Gale will reportedly find themselves facing off with some kind of Ghostface cult.

Scream 7 will be released on February 27, 2026.
