DEADPOOL 3 Release Date Will Not Be Pushed Back

With the production of Deadpool 3 being on pause due to the actors’ strike, fans have been wondering if this means the release of the film will be delayed. It was also removed from Disney’s release schedule a couple of months ago.

Well, according to a recent report from The Wrap, I’ve got some good news for you! The answer is no, the release date won’t be pushed back and it will keep its May 3, 2024 release date.

Deadpool 3 is a big priority for Marvel and Disney, and they also specifically mention Captain America: Brave New World as a "top priority" for Disney. An agent told the outlet: "The immediate priority for all studios is to get the movies that were shut down in mid-production up and running again.”

SAG-AFTRA and the studios are going to resume talks on October 11th, with the strike nearing 100 days. Hopefully, things get resolved soon.

A lot of fans are hyped for this movie, which is going to deliver the R-rated greatness that fans expect from Deadpool. The confirmed cast includes Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Emma Corrin as the villain, Morena Baccarin and Stefan Kapicic as Vanessa and Colossus, Matthew Macfadyen in an unknown role, Karan Soni as Dopinder, and Leslie Uggams as Blind Al. They are joined by Brianna Hildebrand and Shioli Kutsuna will also return to the franchise as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Negasonic Teenage Warhead’s girlfriend Yukio. It was previously confirmed that Jennifer Garner will return as Elektra in the movie.

Rumored casting includes Brian Cox as William Striker, Halle Berry as Storm, Owen Wilson as Mobius, Famke Jensen as Jean Grey, Lewis Tan as Shatterstar, Channing Tatum as Gambit, Ben Affleck as Daredevil, Taylor Swift as Dazzler, Taron Edgerton as a different Wolverine, Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff, Tara Strong as Miss Minutes, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Dafne Keen as Laura Howlett aka X23, Rebecca Romijn as Raven, Julian McMahon as Doctor Doom, Patrick Stewart as Professor X and Ian McKellen as Magneto. James Marsden may be returning to play Cyclops, along with Liev Schreiber as Sabertooth, Daniel Radcliffe as Wolverine, Dafne Keen as X-23, and Channing Tatum as Gambit.

When talking about working on the film, Levy said: "Well, like the rest of our industry, or at least large swaths of it, we are paused. We were halfway through filming Deadpool, co-starring Wolverine. It was a joy every day, and that chemistry is, I have to say, spoiler alert, it is as relentlessly awesome as we had all hoped it would be. But we are halfway through filming, we shut down, our crew and the rest of us are awaiting a fair and equitable deal that ends these strikes and puts our industry and certainly inclusive of our movie back at work."
