Ryan Reynolds Shares DEADPOOL 3 Photo Featuring Wade Wilson and Dogpool

Deadpool 3 star Ryan Reynolds has shared a first-look photo from the film featuring himself in the role of Wade Wilson being licked on the face by Dogpool. The photo was shared on his Facebook page as part of his 2023 wrap-up “Thank You” post.

The dog that they chose to include in Deadpool 3 is absolutely perfect for Wade Wilson! Seeing the two characters together in this photo is pretty awesome! I’m excited to see what the story arc for these characters is going to be.

Dogpool made his debut in Deadpool Corps #2 in 2010. He was originally a regular dog named Wilson who gained Deadpool's healing factor through an experiment gone awry. After being left for dead in a dumpster, he escaped and joined the circus where he was dubbed, “Deadpool the Daredevil Dog.”

Equipped with enhanced agility, strength, and the ability to heal from injuries, Dogpool engages in offbeat and chaotic adventures alongside other alternate versions of Deadpool in the Deadpool Corps. His unique blend of Deadpool's personality with canine charm will add some amusing entertainment to the movie.

The rest of the confirmed cast includes Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Emma Corrin as the villain, Morena Baccarin and Stefan Kapicic as Vanessa and Colossus, Matthew Macfadyen in an unknown role, Karan Soni as Dopinder, and Leslie Uggams as Blind Al. They are joined by Brianna Hildebrand and Shioli Kutsuna will also return to the franchise as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Negasonic Teenage Warhead’s girlfriend, Yukio. It was previously confirmed that Jennifer Garner will return as Elektra in the movie.

Rumored casting includes Brian Cox as William Striker, Halle Berry as Storm, Owen Wilson as Mobius, Famke Jensen as Jean Grey, Lewis Tan as Shatterstar, Channing Tatum as Gambit, Ben Affleck as Daredevil, Taylor Swift as Dazzler, Taron Edgerton as a different Wolverine, Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff, Tara Strong as Miss Minutes, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Dafne Keen as Laura Howlett aka X23, Rebecca Romijn as Raven, Julian McMahon as Doctor Doom, Patrick Stewart as Professor X and Ian McKellen as Magneto. James Marsden may be returning to play Cyclops, along with Liev Schreiber as Sabertooth, Daniel Radcliffe as Wolverine, Dafne Keen as X-23, and Channing Tatum as Gambit. Then, of course, there’s Taylor Swift.

Director Shawn Levy has said that some of those rumored characters will be in the film.
